Police investigate robbery at Stephens City restaurant

The manager of the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant located at 113 Town Run Lane in Stephens City was robbed of a bank deposit outside the restaurant at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The manager had left the restaurant to make a bank deposit, and according to a press release from the Frederick County Sheriff's Office:

"While she was getting into her vehicle an individual approached her from behind wearing a dark mask and "hoodie." The suspect sprayed her in the eyes with an unknown substance and grabbed the deposit bag from her."

The suspect fled on foot, heading southeast. A K-9 unit was dispatched, but the suspect was not located.
