Front Royal police arrest suspect in theft from Roy's Express

The Front Royal Police Department issued this press release today:
On November 27, 2009, Front Royal Police responded to a report of a larceny at the Roy's Express located at 239 North Royal Avenue. Units found that a subject had taken a large amount of cash from the counter near the cash register within the establishment and fled the scene in a sliver Jeep Cherokee. Units immediately placed a BOLO for the vehicle and subject. Approximately one hour later, a patrol unit located the vehicle in question in the 600 block of 11th Street.
Subsequent investigation by Front Royal patrol units and detectives led to the arrest of 44 year old Belton Bowie, Jr, of Huntly, Virginia. Bowie was charged with Grand Larceny and is currently being held at the Warren County Jail on a $3500.00 secured bond.
