Officers on lookout for drunk drivers in Front Royal this weekend

Extra Front Royal police officers will be on patrol and looking for impaired drivers this weekend, according to a press release issued today.
"With the weather warming up and citizens getting out more, we anticipate more impaired drivers to be on the road," said police Chief Richard H. Furr. "We want to remind drivers that if they do decide to drink, to drink responsibly. They should have a plan on how to get home without driving."
Funding for the officers' overtime will come from a grant through the Department of Motor Vehicles and is a part of the Checkpoint: Strike Force "Over the limit, under arrest" campaign. www.smartsafeandsober.org
