BB&T robber wanted $7,000

The man who robbed the BB&T bank at 1000 Berryville Avenue on Friday demanded $7,000 from a teller, according to a press release issued by Winchester police.

Here's the release:

On Friday July 16, 2010 at approximately 1145 a.m. Winchester Police were called to the BB&T bank located at 1000 Berryville Avenue to a report of an armed robbery. Upon arriving at the bank, officers spoke with bank employees who said a white male in his early to mid 30's approached a teller and demanded $7000 dollars in cash. The suspect indicated he had a weapon however no weapon was displayed. The teller complied with the suspect's demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then left the bank on foot walking across Fort Collier Road towards the rear parking lot of Arbys restaurant.

The suspect was described as wearing a long, black coat with a white shirt, blue tie, and a fedora type of hat. The suspect also had a mustache which appeared to be fake and had an electronic device in his ear which could have been a Bluetooth, cell phone or ear bud. No one was injured during the incident.
