CCAP van reported stolen

Winchester police are looking for a 1996 Dodge van belonging to the Congregational Community Action Program (CCAP).

A CCAP representative told police the van has been missing from their office at 112 S. Kent St., Winchester, since July 1, according to a press release issued today.

On Friday July 2, 2010 at approximately 3:45 p.m. Winchester Police were contacted by CCAP located at 112 South Kent Street to a report of a stolen vehicle. After an initial investigation, it was determined that a 1996 Dodge van belonging to the business was removed from the property without the consent of CCAP. The van is described as teal in color and bears Virginia registration "CCAP". An official with CCAP reported last seeing the van parked on the property on Thursday July 1 at approximately 9:00 p.m.

CCAP was formed by area churches and a local synagogue to help people in Winchester and Frederick County. The coalition runs a food pantry and offers other assistance.
