Winter weather advisory now in effect

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory through noon on Tuesday for the region.

Snow, sleet and freezing rain are possible, with accumulations of an inch of snow and sleet, and one-tenth of an inch of ice accumulation.

The snow and sleet will fall and then turn to freezing rain between midnight and 3 a.m. Freezing rain is expected Tuesday morning.
