Weather update: Rain will turn to sleet, then snow overnight

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER STORM WARNING from 7 p.m. today to 7 a.m. Tuesday for Winchester and Frederick County. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect from 9 p.m. today to 7 a.m. Tuesday for Shenandoah, Page and Warren counties.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for rain to fall today, rain and sleet between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. Tuesday, and then snow after midnight. Accumulation of 5 to 7 inches of snow possible in Winchester and Frederick County, while Shenandoah, Page and Warren counties could see 2 to 5 inches of snow.
Temperatures will be in the mid-30s this evening and will drop to the upper 20s by Tuesday morning.
