Berryville officer injured

Berryville Police Chief W. Neal White reports that one of the town's officers was injured when his service weapon discharged.
Here is the press release issued today by the chief:
On April 20, 2011 an officer of the Berryville Police Department was involved in an incident along the 100 block of West Main Street during which the officer's service weapon was discharged. The officer involved suffered minor injuries not requiring transportation to the medical center and the suspect was treated on the scene for minor injuries not associated with the discharge of the service weapon.
In accordance with Berryville Police Department policy, the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations was called to the scene to investigate the incident.
