Southbound I-81 lanes reopen near Edinburg

Traffic is backed up in the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 near Woodstock at 7:23 a.m. today. A tractor trailer accident near Edinburg closed all southbound lanes near the 280.9 mile marker. VDOT webcam image

The Virginia Department of Transportation reports that a tractor trailer accident in the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 near Edinburg has been cleared. The accident occurred around 6 a.m. and both southbound lanes near mile marker 280.9 were closed. All lanes were reopened shortly before 10 a.m.
