Flood warning in effect for North Fork Shenandoah near Strasburg

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for North Fork Shenandoah near Strasburg from this afternoon until late tonight.
At 9 a.m. today, the river level was 15.5 feet and rising. Flood stage is 17 feet. The weather service reports that the river should crest this afternoon and fall below flood stage by late this evening. Significant flooding of fields is occurring, and the Strasburg river walk is flooded.
