Warren public schools closed today, other districts delay openings

Light snow and freezing rain fell over the Northern Shenandoah Valley overnight.

The Virginia Department of Transportation reports clear to minor road conditions in the area. Minor conditions reported at 5:30 a.m. include Interstate 81 in Frederick County and on primary and secondary roads in Shenandoah, Warren and Clarke counties.

Warren County public schools are closed today (Code Blue for employees) while other area districts have delayed openings.

Winchester public schools are on a one-hour day.

Clarke and Shenandoah county public schools are on a two-hour delay. Code 5 for Shenandoah school employees

Frederick County public schools are also on a two-hour delay, and there is no afternoon kindergarten.

Lord Fairfax Community College reports that due to the weather, all three campuses will open at 9 a.m. today.
