Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office police blotter, May 28 - June 3

May 28: Authorities are investigating reports of a larceny of a handgun from a vehicle on Brannertown Road, New Market.

May 29: A 16-year-old juvenile male from New Market was charged with assault and battery. He is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on July 25.

May 29: Authorities are investigating destruction of property to a fence on Orkney Grade, Mount Jackson.

May 29: Authorities are investigating reports of a larceny of a road construction trailer on Interstate 81 near Mount Jackson.

May 30: Authorities are investigating reports of a larceny of lawn tractor parts from a residence on River Drive, Woodstock.

May 30: Authorities are investigating reports of a breaking and entering by an unknown person and a larceny of tools from a residence n Pleasant View Road, Mount Jackson.

May 31: Zachary Stanley Mosser of 1145 Country Brook Road, Toms Brook, was charged with assault and battery of a family member. Mosser is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on June 27.

June 1: Authorities are investigating reports of a breaking and entering by an unknown person to a storage shed on Stoneburner Road, Edinburg.

June 2: Michael Joseph Whittington of 525 W. King St., Strasburg, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Whittington is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on June 28.

June 2: Jon Thomas Rainey of 12355 Beck Road, Toms Brook, was charged with appearing drunk in public and possession of marijuana. Rainey is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on June 28.

June 2: Authorities are investigating reports of a larceny of medication from a residence on Mount Hebron Road, Strasburg.

June 2: An unknown person removed tools from a residence on Orkney Grade, Basye.

June 2: Christopher Sean Crawford-Duval of 539 Lupton Road, Woodstock, was charged with assault and battery. He is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on Aug. 23.

June 3: Katie Ella Funkhouser of 330 Boliver Road, Fort Valley, was charged with forging and uttering. Her court date is pending in Shenandoah County General District Court.
