Wanted Winchester man arrested by police

WINCHESTER - A man wanted following an overnight search was arrested around 9:30 a.m. Friday in Frederick County.

Timothy Berry, 45, of Winchester, was taken into custody at the 7-Eleven on North Frederick Pike. He was then transported to Winchester Medical Center.

Berry is charged with felony abduction, felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and misdemeanor brandishing of a firearm. Winchester Police were called to the 500 block of York Avenue just before 10 p.m. Thursday.

It was reported that Berry had brandished a firearm and was still inside the residence. The SWAT team secured the area and evacuated residents inside the apartment. York Avenue was blocked off.

Berry was wanted out of Frederick County for revoked probation/grand larceny auto theft, revoked probation/felony petty larceny, and revoked probation/unauthorized use.
