The driver of a 2008 Toyota van traveling northbound on Interstate 81 lost control, drove into the median and flipped over two miles north of the Toms Brook exit at about 1:20 p.m. Sunday, according to state police Sgt. F.L. (Les) Tyler.
In addition to the driver, Tsai F. Lin, 68, of Dunwoody, Ga., three adults and three children were in the car. All but one adult were transported to the hospital.
Tyler said the accident was a single vehicle crash. The driver was issued a summons for reckless driving.
All northbound lanes of Interstate 81 were closed for 20 minutes following the crash, Tyler said. Both northbound and southbound left lanes were closed for an hour to an hour and a half.
The crash was investigated by state trooper M.C. Brill and was assisted by fire and rescue squads from Toms Brook, Woodstock, Middletown and Strasburg.
