Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office police blotter, June 30-July 8


The Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office reports the following:

June 30: Authorities are investigating the breaking and entering and destruction of property of an outbuilding at a church on Limestone Road, New Market, and the larceny of an electrical cord.

July 1: Matthew Allen Bowman of Edinburg was charged with violation of a protective order and felony malicious wounding and assault and batter of a family member. Bowman is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on July 25.

July 1: Authorities are investigating the breaking and entering and destruction of property of a business on Red Bud Road, Strasburg.

July 1: Authorities are investigating the breaking and entering, destruction of property and unauthorized use of a vehicle from a residence on New Market Depot Road, New Market.

July 1: Joshua Allen Stickley of Woodstock was charged with possession of marijuana. Stickley is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on Aug. 8.

July 2: Authorities are investigating the larceny of a solar charger and panel from a residence on Wetzel Hollow Road, Maurertown.

July 2: Ian Nathaniel Pace of Timberville was charged with grand larceny. Pace is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on July 12.

July 3: Frances D. Alverez of Edinburg was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Alverez is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on July 12.

July 3: Authorities are investigating the larceny of weed trimmers and fishing poles from an outbuilding at a residence on Wakeman Minton Lane, Toms Brook.

July 4: Authorities are investigating the destruction of property and larceny of prescription medication from a residence on Orkney Grade, Mount Jackson.

July 5: A 16-year-old juvenile female from Woodstock was charged with possession of marijuana. She is schedule to appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on Aug. 1.

July 5: Darren Allen Gray Jr., of Edinburg, was charged with making felony threats to burn a dwelling and appearing drunk in public. He is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on July 19. Gray was also charged with assault and battery of a family member, and will appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on July 25.

July 5: Authorities are investigating the destruction of property of a residence on Graveltown Road, Mount Jackson.

July 7: Carmen Tapia Romero of Harrisonburg was charged with driving while intoxicated and without a license. Romero is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on July 26.

July 7: Brandon Scott Ferguson of Edinburg was charged with committing a hit and run, driving without a license, reckless driving, trespassing on church property and destruction of property. Ferguson is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on Sept. 20.

July 7: Authorities are investigating the larceny of vehicle parts from a business on Old Valley Pike, Woodstock.

July 8: Kimberly A. Thorpe of Toms Brook was charged with three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Thorpe is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on Aug. 23.
