Sections of two Shenandoah County roads will be closed for pipe replacement work this week.
A portion of Back Road (Route 623) 0.16 miles north of Pontzer Road (Route 697) in the Mount Olive area of Shenandoah County will be closed from 7 a.m. Tuesday to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The southbound traffic detour is via Route 601 east to Route 11, south to Route 651 and west to Route 623. The northbound traffic detour is via Route 651 east to Route 11, north to Route 601 and west to Route 623.
Alonzaville Road (Route 681) will be closed at 0.16 miles south of Fairview Road (Route 604) from 7 a.m. Thursday through 3:30 p.m. Friday.
The southbound traffic detour is via Route 604 east to Route 623, south to Route 676 and west to Route 681. The northbound traffic detour is via Route 676 east to Route 623, north to Route 604 and west to route 681.
