Police search for KFC burglar

Daily Staff Report

A burglar broke into the Front Royal KFC through its front window and stole an undisclosed amount of money early Monday morning, according to a release sent by Front Royal Police Chief Norman Shiflett.

The release states that Front Royal Police responded to a report of a suspicious person dressed in all black running north across John Marshall Highway in the 800 block. When officers checked the area, they found the KFC at 807 John Marshall Highway to be broken into through its front window.

Damage was confined to the window of the business and the theft of cash, the release states.

A police K-9 unit from the Warren County Sheriff's Office and the Front Royal police department's Criminal Investigations Division were called to the scene.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Detective Crystal Cline with the Criminal Investigations Division at 540-636-2208.
