Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office police blotter, Aug. 26 - Sept. 2


The Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office reports the following:

Aug. 26: Edwin Ernesto Benitez Lazo of Falls Church was charged with carrying a concealed weapon. He is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on Sept. 20.

Aug. 26: Authorities are investigating the larceny of a battery and fuel from a tractor at a farm on Mill Creek Road, Mount Jackson. Batteries and fuel from tractors were also removed from property on Senedo Road, Mount Jackson.

Aug. 28: Authorities are investigating the larceny of copper tubing from vehicles at a business on Borden Mowery Drive, Strasburg.

Aug. 28: Authorities are investigating the destruction of property of a residence on Old Valley Pike, Edinburg.

Aug. 29: A 15-year-old juvenile male from New Market was charged with possession of marijuana. He is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on Oct. 3.

Aug. 29: Authorities are investigating a breaking and entering and larceny of U.S. currency from a residence on Hahns Lane, Toms Brook.

Aug. 30: Mark Joseph Staffa of Edinburg was charged with assault and battery of a family member. Staffa is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on Sept. 26.

Aug. 30: William Harold Conger Jr. was charged with appearing drunk in public. He is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on Sept. 20.

Aug. 30: Kyle Steven Montague, Chelsea Ann Rowe and Sara Ann Richter, all from Front Royal, were charged with underage possession of alcohol and giving false identification to law enforcement. They are scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on Sept. 20.

Aug. 31: Michael Warren Weaver of Woodstock was charged with assault and battery of a family member. Weaver is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on Sept. 26.

Aug. 31: Steven Michael Heckler of New Market was charged with appearing drunk in public. Heckler is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on Sept. 13.

Aug. 31: Charles Lee Allen of Winchester was charged with appearing drunk in public. Allen is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on Sept. 13.

Sept. 1: Elizabeth Annette Wilkins of Bridgewater was charged with possession of marijuana. Wilkins is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on Sept. 20.

Sept. 2: Shelby Kay Middleton of Toms Brook was charged with having a dangerous dog. Middleton is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on Sept. 27.

Sept. 2: Authorities are investigating the larceny of several campaign signs in the Strasburg, Toms Brook and Maurertown areas.

Sept. 2: Elgin Leathea Martin of Oxen Hill, Md., was charged with assault and battery. Martin is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on Sept. 13.
