Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office police blotter, Aug. 29 - Sept. 8

The Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office reports the following:

Aug. 29: Authorities are investigating the larceny of a tree stand, chain and lock from property off of Millertown Road, Edinburg

Sept. 3: Joshua Alan Mark Kirby of Fort Valley was charged with assault and battery. He is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on Sept. 13.

Sept. 4: Jessica Hottle Trail of Woodstock was charged with felony possession of a schedule I or II drug. Trail is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on Sept. 13.

Sept. 4: Authorities are investigating the destruction of property of a gate and property on Pinewoods Road, Mount Jackson.

Sept. 5: Harvey S. Luna of Elizabeth, N.J., was charged with felony possession of untaxed cigarettes. Luna is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on Sept. 13.

Sept. 6: Authorities are investigating the larceny of prescription medication and phone accessories from a residence on Orkney Grade, Mount Jackson.

Sept. 6: Shannon Alexander Stewart of Edinburg was charged with felony destruction of property, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Stewart is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on Sept. 20. Stewart was charged on Sept. 8 with an additional charge of destruction of property and also will appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on Nov. 8.

Sept. 7: Authorities are investigating the larceny of a chainsaw from a residence on Boliver Road, Fort Valley.

Sept. 8: Authorities are investigating the larceny of a chair from a residence on Lakeview Drive, Woodstock.
