Authorities investigate Monday robbery in Winchester

The Winchester Police Department is investigating the robbery of a Check into Cash in Winchester that took place just after 11:30 a.m. Monday.

According to a news release, a suspect entered the 2103 South Loudoun St. location and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Winchester police community relations/crime prevention specialist Lauren Cummings said that only one individual was inside the building at the time, a Check into Cash employee, and that employee reported the emergency.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 5'8" and 5'10", wearing tan colored jacket and pants, a black hat, black sunglasses, and a black scarf over his face.

Anyone with information about the suspect or his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Solvers at 540-665-TIPS (8477).
