Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office police blotter, April 28 - May 5


The Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office reports the following:

April 17: Heidi D. Keyt of Woodstock was charged with distribution of a schedule I or II drug and manufacturing a controlled substance. Keyt's Shenandoah County Circuit Court date is pending.

April 28: Authorities are investigating the larceny of currency from a school on Sandy Hook Road, Strasburg.

April 28: James Carlton Himelright of Strasburg was charged with assault and battery. Charles Johann Barbardo of Edinburg was charged with assault and battery. Himelright and Barbardo are scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on May 23.

April 29: William R. Turner of New Market was charged with three counts of distribution of a schedule I or II drug and two counts of distribution of a schedule III drug. Turner's court date in Shenandoah County Circuit Court is pending.

April 29: Tony Lynn Palmer of Fort Valley was charged with escape and resisting arrest. Palmer is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on May 23.

April 29: Shawn Thomas Ditzel of Strasburg was charged with being a fugitive from justice from Pennsylvania. Ditzel was scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on May 12.

April 29: Barbara Harlow of Maurertown was charged with possession of a schedule I or II drug and two counts of cruelty/injury to a child. Harlow's Shenandoah County Circuit Court date is pending.

April 30: William Thomas Thames of Mount Jackson was charged with distribution of a schedule I or II drug and distribution of a schedule III drug. Thames' Shenandoah County Circuit Court date is pending.

April 30: A 17-year-old juvenile was charged with assault and battery. The juvenile is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on May 22.

April 30: Authorities are investigating the larceny of outdoor equipment from a shed on South Middle Road, Mount Jackson.

April 30: Authorities are investigating the larceny of a tractor from a parking lot on Old Valley Pike, Edinburg. The tractor was recovered by the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office.

May 1: Michael Lee Gray of Mount Jackson was charged with giving a false identity to law enforcement. Gray was scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on May 16.

May 5: Authorities are investigating the vandalism of property at a residence on Church Road, Fort Valley.
