Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office police blotter, May 27 - June 2


The Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office reports the following:

May 26: Authorities are investigating the larceny of a vehicle from a parking lot on Lakeview Drive, Woodstock.

May 27: German Valdespino of Quicksburg was charged with assault and battery on a family member. Valdespino is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on June 19.

May 28: Kevin Kay Looney of Strasburg was charged with malicious wounding. Looney is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on June 19.

May 28: Authorities are investigating the larceny of two canoes from an area on Old Valley Pike, Edinburg.

May 28: Authorities are investigating the larceny of four tires and an air filter off a truck on Old Valley Pike, New Market.

May 30: Authorities are investigating the larceny of an iPod and laptop from a vehicle on North Congress Street, New Market.

May 30: Authorities are investigating the larceny of an auto part from a business on Old Valley Pike, Edinburg.

May 31: Darius Randolph Swales of Waynesboro was charged with soliciting a permit. Swales is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on June 27.

May 31: Aaron Matthew Branham of Maurertown was charged with false report to law enforcement. Krista Lee Cornwell of Maurertown was charged with false report to law enforcement. Branham and Cornwell are scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on June 13.

May 31: Anna Leigh Gillis of Strasburg was charged with appearing drunk in public. Gillis is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on July 18.

May 31: Authorities are investigating the larceny of currency from a vehicle on Jackson Avenue, New Market.

June 1: Authorities are investigating the larceny of clothes from a residence on Madie Byrd Park, Toms Brook.

June 1: Authorities are investigating the vandalism of property at a residence on Zion Church Road, Maurertown.
