Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office police blotter, July 21-Aug. 1


The following information was reported by the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office on its website, http://www.shencosheriff.com.

July 21: A breaking and entering was reported the Sheriff's Office. According to the complainant, unknown person(s) removed electronics, prescription medications, and U.S. currency from a residence on Dooley Drive, Basye. Investigation continues.

July 21:Christopher Daniel Scott Hall, 59 Jewell Lane, Edinburg, was charged with appearing drunk in public. The court date is set for 9 a.m. Aug. 22 in Shenandoah County General District Court.

July 23: Theresa L. Wright, 1102 Copp Road, Strasburg, was charged with 37 counts of forgery/uttering and 35 counts of obtaining money by false pretense. The court date is pending in Shenandoah County Circuit Court.

July 22: Bryan Keith Payne, 658 Turkey Knob Road, Quicksburg, was charged with assault and battery. The court date is set for 9 a.m. Aug. 21 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

July 23: A larceny was reported to the Sheriff's Office on July 23. According to the complainant, unknown person(s) removed a registration decal from a vehicle at a residence on Flat Rock Road, New Market. Investigation continues.

July 24: A larceny was reported to the Sheriff's Office. According to the complainant, unknown person(s) removed two pocket watches from a residence on Basswood Lane, Mount Jackson. Investigation continues.

July 25: David Duane Dietsch, 754 S. Main St. Apt #2, Woodstock, was charged with driving after a revoked license. The court date is set for 9 a.m. Aug. 8 in Shenandoah County General District Court.

July 25: Destruction of property was reported to the Sheriff's Office. According to the complainant, unknown person(s) damaged and removed property from a residence on South Middle Rd, Quicksburg. Investigation continues.

July 25: A larceny was reported to the Sheriff's Office. According to the complainant, unknown person(s) damaged property and removed tractor forks from Pinewoods Road, Quicksburg. Investigation continues.

July 26: Deputies charged Derek Brock Kerns, 1749 Clary Road, Strasburg, with assault and battery on a family member. The court date is set for 9 a.m. Aug. 14 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

July 26: Deputies charged Franklin Wesley Meitzler, 775 Cedar Creek Road, Star Tannery with assault and battery on a family member. The court date is set for 2 p.m. Nov. 14. in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

July 27: A larceny was reported to the Sheriff's Office. According to the complainant, unknown person(s) removed prescription medications from a residence on Palmyra Church Road, Edinburg. Investigation continues.

July 27: A destruction of property was reported to the Sheriff's Office. According to the complainant, unknown person(s) damaged property on Boliver Road, Fort Valley. Investigation continues.

July 27: A destruction of property was reported to the Sheriff's Office. According to the complainant, unknown person(s) damaged a vehicle at a residence on Habron Hollow Road, Fort Valley. Investigation continues.

July 27: A destruction of property was reported to the Sheriff's Office. According to the complainant, unknown person(s) damaged a switch at a business on Orkney Grade, Basye. Investigation continues.

July 27: Sheriff's deputies charged Raymond Lamar Washington, 259 Lakeview Drive, Apartment #2B, Woodstock, on July 27 with assault and battery on a family member and strangulation. He was also charged with possession of marijuana. The court dates are set for 9 a.m. Aug. 21 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. and 2 p.m. Aug. 8 in Shenandoah County General District Court. On Aug. 2, deputies charged Washington with a violation of a protective order. The court date is set for 9 a.m. Aug. 21 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

July 29: A larceny was reported to the Sheriff's Office. According to the complainant, unknown person(s) removed a dog from a residence on Zepp Road, Maurertown. Investigation continues.

July 31: Deputies charged Ashleigh Dawn Miller, 702 Goode Drive, Front Royal, with two counts of manufacturing/distributing a schedule I/II drug. The court date is pending in Shenandoah County Circuit Court.

July 31: Sheriff's deputies charged Donald Ray Alexander, 100 Massanutten Manor Circle, Apt 114, Strasburg, with six counts of credit card fraud. The court date is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 12 in Shenandoah County General District Court.

July 31: A destruction of property was reported to the Sheriff's Office. According to the complainant, unknown person(s) damaged a residence on Habron Hollow Road, Fort Valley. Investigation continues.

Aug. 1: Sheriff's deputies charged Heather Renee Morris, 583 E. Branch Road, Luray, with driving while intoxicated. The court date is set for 9 a.m. Aug. 8 in Shenandoah County General District Court.
