Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office police blotter, Dec. 22-28

The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:

Dec. 22: Charles Ralph Barton Jr., of New Market, was charged with assault and battery on a family member, two counts of brandishing a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Court dates are 9 a.m. Jan. 9 at the Shenandoah County General District Court and 9 a.m. Jan. 29 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

Dec. 23: James A. Williams, of Front Royal, was charged with rape. Court date is 9 a.m. Jan. 8 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

Dec. 23: A 13-year-old boy was charged with assault and battery. Court date is 11 a.m. Jan. 22 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

Dec. 23: A larceny was reported. Someone removed two lights from a shed on Minebank Road in Strasburg.

Dec. 25: Jerry Wayne Helsley, of Mount Jackson, was charged with indecent exposure, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and public masturbation. Court date is 9 a.m. Jan. 8 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

Dec. 25: Amber Kaye Helsley, of Mount Jackson, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Court date is 9 a.m. in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

Dec. 25: A larceny was reported. Someone removed two pigs from a residence on Jiggady Road in New Market.

Dec. 25: Larry Dewayne Jessee Jr., of Quicksburg, was charged with appearing drunk in public. Court date is 9 a.m. Jan. 19 in Shenandoah County General District Court.

Dec. 26: Jose Alberto Rodriguez, of Edinburg, was charged with assault and battery on a family member and abduction. Court date is 9 a.m. in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

Dec. 27: Aaron Matthew Branham, of Maurertown, was charged with reckless handling of a firearm, brandishing a firearm, two counts of malicious assault and appearing drunk in public. Court dates are 9 a.m. Jan. 29 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court and 9 a.m. Feb. 27 in Shenandoah County General District Court.

Dec. 28: Thomas C. Carson, of Basye, was charged with destruction of property. Court date is 2 p.m. Jan. 9 in Shenandoah County General District Court.

Dec. 28: A destruction of property was reported. Someone damaged a bulletin board on Park Lane in Maurertown.
