Two juveniles charged in Strasburg car burglaries
Strasburg police have arrested two teen-aged boys after linking them to car burglaries committed on July 25 and Aug. 3.
Police Chief Tim Sutherly said a 17 year old from Strasburg has been charged with two counts of car burglary and two counts of grand larceny. A 13 year old from Winchester has been charged with a single count each of car burglary, grand larceny and possession of a firearm with intent to sell.
Sutherly said in a written statement that police recovered much of the stolen property, but one item, a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol model 2022, is still missing.
Both juveniles are scheduled to appear Sept. 17 in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
