Police Blotter

The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:

Feb. 2: William Walter Grim Jr., of Mount Jackson, was charged with violating a protective order. Court date is 9 a.m. Feb. 18 in Shenandoah County Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court.

Feb. 2: Kimberly Justine Reed, of Fort Valley, was charged with appearing drunk in public and assault and assault of a family member. Court dates are 9 a.m. Feb. 18 and 2 p.m. Feb. 19, both in Shenandoah County General District Court.

Feb. 2: A larceny was reported. Someone removed a handgun, U.S. currency and two vapor bottles from a residence on Oranda Road, Strasburg.

Feb. 3: Amber Dellinger, of Basye, was charged with two counts of possessing a Schedule I/II drug. Court date is pending in Shenandoah County Circuit Court.

Feb. 3: A 17 year old was charged with trespassing. Court date is 11 a.m. March 3 in Shenandoah County Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court.

Feb. 4: A larceny was reported. Someone removed jewelry from a residence on Water Street, Edinburg.

Feb. 5: Gregory Lee Hovatter, of Mount Jackson, was charged with driving while intoxicated and refusing to take a blood/breath test. Court date is 9 a.m. Feb. 26 in Shenandoah County General District Court.

Feb. 5: Pharris Frink Horne, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, was charged with animal cruelty. Court date is 9 a.m. March 18 in Shenandoah County General District Court.

Feb. 6: A destruction of property was reported. Someone damaged a yard on Alum Springs Road, Basye.

Feb. 7: A breaking and entering was reported. Someone entered a residence causing damage and removed a skill saw, portable radio, generator, shop vacuum and two drop cords on Miller Drive, Toms Brook.
