On March 5, 2009 two indictments were presented to the Frederick County Grand Jury. The indictments were a result of a joint safe school initiative that was conducted at the James Wood High School by the administration of James Wood and the Frederick County Sheriff's Office on February 24, 2009.
The Frederick County and Berkely County, W.Va., sheriff's offices have been investigating reports of counterfeit $10 and $20 bills showing up at businesses in both counties and in Winchester.
