The Virginia Department of Transportation reports that a tractor trailer accident in the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 near Edinburg has been cleared. The accident occurred around 6 a.m. and both southbound lanes near mile marker 280.9 were closed. All lanes were reopened shortly before 10 a.m.

Safety groups report that 11 teenagers between 16-20 years old died on Virginia roads between Jan. 1 and Jan. 24 of this year. Last year three teens were killed during the same time period.
