FRONT ROYAL – Baby, a 5-year-old brown, black and white calico cat, is looking for her forever home.

According to Michael Kerns, feline team leader at the Humane Society of Warren County, Baby came to the animal shelter as owner surrender in May due to a life change.

“She’s a very independent cat,” Kerns said. “She likes to be left alone to do her own thing.”

Laid-back and mellow are two adjectives that came to Kerns’ mind when asked to describe her personality.

Like most calico cats, Baby is considered “Miss Independent” in her own right.

Calico cats are  different from other cats because each engages differently in behavior, Kerns explained.

“She doesn’t interact well with other cats,” Kerns said. Because of this, he saidBaby will do best in a home with no other animals.

Baby is up to date on all her shots and has been spayed. She can be adopted for $15.
