Officers take to tables to raise money for Special Olympics

FRONT ROYAL -- Officers from the town Police Department traded in their guns and handcuffs for aprons and serving trays Tuesday in an effort to raise funds for the Special Olympics.

Acting as waiters and waitresses, about a dozen officers volunteered the time they were not on duty to serve lunch and dinner to hungry guests at Samurai Steakhouse on Chester Street.
