At 1:30 a.m. Jan. 8, Strasburg Police received a call of shots being fired in the 600 block of Christianson Drive. A vehicle parked in a driveway was struck multiple times and at least one shot was believed to be into the house. Officer Derek Kniceley stopped a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle leaving the scene. It was occupied by three men ranging in age from 18 to 22. Those men were: Derek Edward Miller, 18, of 340 Breckinridge Court, Strasburg; Mathew Glenn Keller, 18, of 11689 Back Road, Toms Brook; Michael Anthony Norris, 22, of 1027 Bellinger Blvd., Norfolk, Va. A .22-caliber revolver was found in their possession. The weapon and other items were seized and sent to a forensic lab for testing. No charges were placed at the time of the stop. Following an investigation and results of lab results, the three suspects have been charged with two felonies and three misdemeanors, including: 1. Intentionally causing damage of more than $1,000, Class 6 felony 4. Reckless use of a firearm, a Class 1 misdemeanor 5.
