Pair arrested on drug charges

Two High View, W.Va., residents were arrested Friday on charges related to the sale, distribution and possession of the controlled substance Oxycotin, according to a press release issued by the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office.

Randy J. Newcomer and Tonya Annette Barnes were arrested in Frederick County by Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office investigators assigned to the Northwest Virginia Regional Drug Task Force. The arrests were made after information was provided by the Strasburg Police Department.

A third suspect in the case, Thomas L. Orndorff III of Capon Bridge, W.Va., is being sought by police in connection with the case.

Orndorff's home was searched after a search warrant was obtained and more than 200 items were seized, including numerous controlled substances, cash and several items believed to have been stolen from Shenandoah, Warren, and Frederick counties, according to the press release.
