WINCHESTER -- Charles Samuel Walker, 68, of 328 ½ Highland Ave., has been charged with first degree murder in the Monday night shooting death of his son Bobby Jackson, 47. Winchester police responded to a report that a person had been shot at 7:46 p.m. Monday at Walker's home on Highland Avenue. In a press release e-mailed to the media early this morning, Sgt. Amanda Baker said police found Jackson lying next to the residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene by fire and rescue personnel. Walker was standing outside the residence and was arrested without incident. In addition to first degree murder, he is also charged with use of a firearm in the commission of murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
