The following press release was issued by Strasburg Police Chief Tim Sutherly this afternoon:
As a result of a 4 month investigation by the Strasburg Police Department the Northwest Regional Drug Task Force and Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office, there have been 7 individuals arrested on 21 charges. On November 14, 2008 The Strasburg Special Operations Team, conducted a Felony stop on two Hispanic males in the parking lot of McDonalds on Rt. 11. Over 4 Ounces of Cocaine, and $4000 in cash was seized. Joaquin V. Gonzalez, unknown age and address, and Carlos Cesar Moto-Codoy, unknown age and address, were each arrested and charged with One Count of Distribution of Cocaine and One Count of Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine. They were both held without bond in the Shenandoah County Jail. Emily E. Vincent, 20, of 163 North St. in Strasburg has been charged with three counts of Distribution of a Controlled Substance and two counts of Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance. Travis M. Tuttle, 25, of the same address, was charged with two counts of Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance. James A. Mangham, 43, of the Northfork Campground on Strasburg Rd., was charged with two counts of Distribution of Cocaine, and two counts of Distribution of Marijuana. Held on 10,000 bond in Shenandoah County Jail. David Allen McDaniel, 19, of 234 Cedar Berry Dr, Strasburg, was charged with three counts of Distribution of Marijuana. McDaniel was out on bond for Possession with intent to Distribute Marijuana and Possession of Cocaine, following a Search Warrant at 165 Hailey Ln. in Strasburg earlier this year. Dashawn Long, 32 of 207 Virginia St. was arrested on 12-2-2008 following a search warrant of his residence, conducted by the Strasburg Special Operations Team. He was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Possession of Firearm while being a convicted Felon.
