Front Royal Police to host community meetings

(From a press release) FRONT ROYAL - The Front Royal Police Department will host the first in a series of three community meetings on Monday, Feb. 2.

The other meetings will be held Feb. 5 and Feb. 19. All three meetings will begin at 7 p.m. in the Government Center on Commerce Avenue.

The purpose of these meetings will be to inform the public about the Police Department structure, crime prevention programs, and community services available. There also will be an open forum for the public to ask the department questions or to inform the department of needs in a neighborhood.

The Feb. 2 meeting will be for residents who live or work in the area from Kendrick Lane and Sixth Street and all points north to the I-66 interchange.

The Thursday, Feb. 5 meeting will be for residents who live or work in the area from Main Street/Stonewall Drive and all points south.

The Thursday, Feb. 19 meeting will be for the area from Main Street/Stonewall Drive and all points north to 6th Street/Happy Creek Road, including Shenandoah Shores Road and the Happy Creek Technology Park.

The public will have the opportunity to meet the administrative staff as well as officers assigned to each sector.
