Winchester police seek man who entered West Bond Street home

Winchester police are looking for an intoxicated man who entered a home on West Bond Street early Wednesday morning.

According to a press release, the man entered the home at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday and was confronted by a resident.

According to the press release, "the resident, who was awake at the time, began to yell at the suspect and a physical altercation ensued. The resident's son heard the struggle and tried to intervene by chasing the male out of the residence. Her son restrained the male outside of the residence until the suspect stated he had a gun. At that time, he released the suspect. The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot towards Loudoun Street. A K-9 track was attempted which had negative results. No one was injured during the incident."

The suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years of age, 6'0, medium build, light complexion, facial stubble and wearing blue jeans and a gray jacket with black lining and fur around the hood.

Police say they are looking into the possibility that the suspect may have believed he was in a different residence. If you have information about this case, contact Crime Solvers at 540-722-5200 or Winchester police at 540-545-4704. Callers can remain anonymous.
