Strasburg police arrest attempted murder suspect

Strasburg police have arrested a Manassas man wanted on 14 felony charges in Prince George's County, Md.

Warrants were issued on Saturday by Prince George's County police for Sokhun An, of 8711 Henderson Place, Manassas. He is being charged with five counts of attempted first-degree murder, one count of attempted second-degree murder, four counts of assault, three counts of vehicle theft and one count of unauthorized removal of property, according to a press release issued today by Strasburg Chief Tim Sutherly.

On Sunday, Strasburg officers saw a suspect who matched a description of Sokhun An on Queen Street in Strasburg. According to the release, they obtained a consent to search a home on the 100 block of Queen St., and they discovered the suspect on the back porch.

The suspect surrendered without incident and is being held in Shenandoah County Jail pending an extradition hearing.
