Front Royal police arrest 4 on drug charges

FRONT ROYAL - Four people have been arrested on drug charges after police executed search warrants on two Front Royal apartments.

According to a press release issued today:

The Front Royal Police Department has announced that on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, agents with the Northwest Virginia Regional Drug Task Force and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms executed two search warrants without incident on two apartments located in Front Royal, VA.

According to Police Chief Richard H. Furr, they were assisted by the Front Royal Police Department's Emergency Services Team, who executed a search warrant at 363 Kendrick Lane, Apartment #50 and the Warren County Sheriff's Office Tactical Team, who executed a search warrant at 1095 North Royal Avenue, Apartment #15. The Shenandoah County/Strasburg Drug Task Force assisted at both locations.

"These search warrants were part of an investigation of a crack cocaine distribution ring that has been operating in the Front Royal area. The case is still being investigated and other charges will be sought," Chief Furr stated.

The following have been arrested:


  • Linda Caison, 50, of Kendrick Lane, Front Royal. She has been charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

  • Jamil Smith, 26, of Kendrik Lane, Front Royal. She has been charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

  • Dutch Johnson, 26, of Glacier Ave., Capital Heights, Md. He has been charged with possession with the intent to distribute.

  • Allen Johnson, 58, of North Royal Avenue, Front Royal. He has been charged with distribution of cocaine.
