FRONT ROYAL - Police Chief Richard H. Furr says officers will be out in force looking for impaired drivers over the upcoming holiday weekend.

According to a release issued today:

"The department will be conducting saturation patrols beginning on Thursday and going until Sunday. These officers' primary focus is getting the impaired driver off the road." says Chief Furr.

"Since July 4th falls on a Saturday, most people will be off from work on Friday and will be engaged in outdoor activities. We want everyone to have a good time over the holiday; however we also want everyone to get home safely."
