6:35 -- The Northern Virginia Daily is covering the games in bold.
7:04 -- Games are just kicking off around the area. As score updates are reported, check back to this blog for scores and other pertinent information. I'll update as often as possible.
7:51 -- Sherando is off and rolling, up 28-0 halfway through the second quarter.
7:52 -- Warren County takes an early 7-0 lead.
8:14 -- A wave of score updates: Skyline 14, Strasburg 0, End 1st; Loudoun County 21, James Wood 14, Half; Millbrook 24, Dominion 0, Halftime.
8:19 -- Craig Juer has checked in from Stephens City. He's currently eating a granola bar.
8:23 -- Granola bar finished ... and Sherando is cruising 35-0 at halftime.
8:31 -- Skyline 21, Strasburg 0. Halftime. Andrew Thorne with a pair of touchdowns for the Hawks, who appear to be headed to a 3-0 start.
8:36 -- Warren County 19, R-MA 0. Halftime.
8:59 -- Loudoun County inching closer to the upset. Still 21-14 at the end of the third quarter.

9:18 -- In a non-high school football news item: The Big East is terrible.
9:19 -- Loudoun County on the verge of the upset: 23-14, 2:20 left of the game.
9:20 -- First score update from Woodstock: Musselman (W.Va.) 10, Central 6. J.J. Armentrout with 79 receiving yards and a touchdown.
9:21 -- Warren County adds an insurance touchdown. Now up 25-7.
9:23 -- All four NVD staffers picked James Wood this week. Last week, I took a chance on Loudoun County and it bit me as Handley rolled. So this begs the question: How good is Handley? A win over Harrisonburg and a win over a team that just beat James Wood. And the Colonels, mind you, have been touted by those inside the newsroom walls as a team that could easily challenge Sherando for the Northwestern District title. Do the Judges have that in them, or will Park View put them in their place tomorrow?
9:25 -- The Associated Press reports that Ohio State's Beanie Wells will miss tomorrow's showdown with Southern Cal. Jim Tressel confirms. This is obviously a big blow, and something the team considered during game prep this week. Also, I was the only NVD staffer to pick the Buckeyes, but I still feel good about my pick. Ohio State fan Tommy Keeler, however, did not have similar faith in his team.
9:53 -- According to Tommy Keeler, a "much-improved" Loudoun County team defeats James Wood in Winchester, 23-20. Also, Millbrook blanks Dominion 38-0, and Sherando rolls 49-0.
10:41 -- The Central Fighting Yews have fallen at home, 24-6, to Musselman.
10:42 -- Warren County final: 25-13.
10:48-- Stonewall Jackson 28, George Mason 13. I believe yours truly was the only one that called that correctly in the picks. You're welcome, Generals fans.
