NVD Sports Blog with Chuck Mcgill

It's been almost a month since Clarke County and Handley ended their pursuit of state football championships, and since that time my blog has remained dormant. Part of that is attributed to my massive workload, and in my personal pecking order of daily chores here at the Daily, the blog rarely ascends to a reasonable position.
And even though I like blogging (I love to write, but as sports editor rarely get the opportunity to flaunt my skills), the crickets you hear when you have opened my blog over the past month has mostly been due to the uncertainty of its direction. Do I cover more live events? Do I update daily? How do I get more reader participation/comments?
So, in my first attempt to encourage more participation, what would you -- the loyal Daily reader -- like from this sports blog? Do you like to read opinions on national events like the sagging economy or Brett Favre's greying beard? Do you want me to moan and groan about the Redskins' non-existent passing attack? Or is your preference the angle? Such as what former Millbrook guard Jordan Sugars is doing at Navy or the chances of the Skyline Hawks winning the district in boys basketball this seaason.
I'm open to suggestions. In the meantime, I'll update more regularly (hopefully daily) as I try to find my niche on the Internets. Unlike Jim Zorn and the vertical pass -- at least I'm trying.

Well, I obviouslty prefer the Hawks talk, of the options above. But seriously, any talk about high school sports would be my preference. This is what really makes your newspaper and your blog special.
