(From a press release) WOODSTOCK - In a creative twist on traditional fundraising, the residents of Shenandoah County and the surrounding area will have the opportunity to earn money for both Central and Strasburg High Schools by test driving a new Ford vehicle.

For each person who takes a 2008 Focus, Edge or other new Ford product for a spin during the Cruise 4 UR School event on May 3, Ford and Muhlenburg Ford Mercury will donate $20, up to a total of $6,000, to Central and Strasburg High Schools' Athletic Booster Clubs.

To participate, visit Muhlenburg Ford Mercury, 430 Hoover Road, Woodstock, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. May 3.

(From a press release) On April 19-20 at Park View Mennonite Church in Harrisonburg, HARP EXTRAVAGANZA II raised just short of $10,000 for the Fuller Center for Housing, a recent initative co-founded by Millard and Linda Fuller, co-founders also of Habitat for Humanity and present for the events. A challenge grant matched donations to this cause.
