Girl Scouts to be honored

(From a press release) On May 27, Girl Scout Troop 525 of Winchester will hold its court of awards ceremony at Handley Library. Girl Scouts who have earned their Gold Award will be honored at this ceremony. The Gold Award is the highest award in Girl Scouting and recognizes the leadership, effort and impact girls 14-18 have on their communities. This award symbolizes outstanding accomplishments in the areas of leadership, community service, career planning, and personal development.
