(From a press release) The Woodstock Library, 134 N. Church St., has forms for the "Read and Win a Day at the (Shenandoah County) Fair" reading incentive program. It is part of an international literacy program.
Children from age 3 can win coloring books and a ribbon and students in first through eighth grade can win free admission to the fair on Aug. 24 -- "Read and Win Day" -- and a free or discounted concession item such as cotton candy, fries, kettle corn, hamburgers and more.
To participate, pick up a form, read the books and win a ribbon to wear into the fair on Aug. 24. The rules are on the forms.
