(From press release) Belle Grove is adding two new programs to encourage local residents to visit the historic home.

First Saturdays will allow residents of neighboring towns to visit Belle Grove for $4 with proof of residence (driver's license/voter registration/utility bill). Middletown will be the first to take advantage of the First Saturdays price, followed by Strasburg and Front Royal in coming months. In addition to house tours, there will be a living history demonstration and vendors. The first First Saturday will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 2.

The other program is a Teacher Appreciation Month, which runs Aug. 1 -31. This program allows educators (teachers, teacher aides, principals, librarians, resource staff and administrative staff with instructional responsibilities) to visit the house for $4 and receive more information about programs available to local schools. Proof of employment is required (business card or school I.D.).
