Festivals, scavenger hunt today

The Newtown Heritage Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday in Stephens City. On Saturday, a parade will be held at 2 p.m., George Hamilton IV will entertain at 3 and 6 p.m. and fireworks will be presented at 9:15 p.m. Other activities include an apple crate derby, arts and crafts, children's events, wagon rides and museum tours.
