The Strasburg Mayfest opens today with carnival rides and games, food, crafts, a street dance tonight and the musical "Lost in the 50s." Tomorrow's events include a walk/run at 8 a.m., the Cruise-In Car Show from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the Mayfest parade at 2 p.m.
The Leather and Lace Country Western Dance Club holds dances on the first Saturday and third Friday of each month at the Dayton Learning Center on Mill Street in Dayton. Lessons are from 8 to 9 p.m., followed by open dancing from 8 to 11 p.m. Call 568-8315 for more information.
