Aquafina MBL Pitch, Hit & Run participants win honors

(From a press release) The following won first place in their age groups in the Shenandoah County Parks & Recreation Department-hosted Aquafinal Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run competition at Central High School on Sunday:

Ages 9/10:

Overall champion: Jonathan Baker, score: 493
2nd overall champion: Jordan Hosaflook, score: 466
3rd overall champion: Brooke Sager, score: 359

Pitch champion: Johnathan Baker, score: 225
Hit champions (tie) : Johnathan Bakerm, score: 100; Jordan Hosaflook, 100; Brook Sager, score: 100
Run champion: Johnathan Baker, score: 50

Ages 11/12:

Overall champion: Travis Sager, score: 1,002
2nd overall champion: Zachary Herbaugh, score: 784
3rd overall champion: Cody Sager, score: 603

Pitch champion: Travis Cooper, score: 375
Hit champion: Travis Cooper, score: 308
Run champion: Zachary Herbaugh, score: 325

The winners will compete in the sectional competition that will be held on May 24 in Manassas Park. Sectional All-Around Champions become eligible to qualify for the Team Championship, to be held in June.

Pitch, Hit & Run is a baseball skills competition that allows youngsters to showcase their talents in pitching, hitting and running with scores determined by individual performances in each skills event.
