Aquafina MBL Pitch, Hit & Run participants win honors(From a press release) The following won first place in their age groups in the Shenandoah County Parks & Recreation Department-hosted Aquafinal Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run competition at Central High School on Sunday: Ages 9/10: Overall champion: Jonathan Baker, score: 493 Pitch champion: Johnathan Baker, score: 225 Ages 11/12: Overall champion: Travis Sager, score: 1,002 The winners will compete in the sectional competition that will be held on May 24 in Manassas Park. Sectional All-Around Champions become eligible to qualify for the Team Championship, to be held in June. Pitch, Hit & Run is a baseball skills competition that allows youngsters to showcase their talents in pitching, hitting and running with scores determined by individual performances in each skills event.
