Strasburg Midget Football

The start of Strasburg Midget Football also meant the start of Strasburg Midget Cheerleading. As we all know, the two organizations merged as one this season, under one President and one governing board. And I must say, what a horrible merge/experience it has been this far. I am truly disappointed at how the cheerleaders are being treated. Not only myself, I should add. Most parents are feeling the same way. Our girls have been truly slighted as far as what they have received this season compared to the football players. Did I fail to mention, when the groups merged as one, so did their bank accounts. As parents, we participate with fundraisers, consession stand sells and pay a registration fee. Should only one part of the organization benefit with new practice and game equipment? Was the purchase of a new equipment building necessary? Our kids see the unequal treatment that is being handed down. Is Football more important, is that the message our President is trying to send out? What about the self esteem of our kids? Is he in this for the title and authority or is he in this for the well being and better development of our children.
