WINCHESTER -- The family entertainment center Fun Expedition is closing its doors.
"We were told this week that our last day to be open is [today]," Michelle Lowdermilk, who handles local group sales and marketing, said in an e-mail on Thursday.
She did not give any details, and company officials could not be reached for comment.
The local Fun Expedition opened in the former Circuit City building at 2173 Pleasant Valley Road in July 2007. The facility featured laser tag, black-light miniature golf, duckpin bowling, a climbing wall, soft play/toddler area, arcade games and the train-themed Depot Diner.
The Winchester location hosted group events and birthday parties, and supported local schools.
The franchise, headquartered in Asheville, N.C., also has two locations in Tennessee.
